Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month.
At Terros Health, we’re encouraging men to take care of their bodies by eating right, exercising, and working to prevent disease.

Men’s Health Month is used to raise awareness about health care for men and reminds boys, men, and their families to practice healthy living decisions and to schedule their yearly medical checkups.

The  Wellness Checkup.
For patients who are over 21 years of age, we recommend scheduling a wellness checkup. Our wellness checkup includes a health exam, lifestyle assessment, blood pressure screening, bloodwork with lab services, and any specialty referrals that you may need.

Let’s make a difference this Father’s Day.

Men’s health is not just a “man’s  issue”,  it’s a family issue.
Men’s health can impact everyone around them: wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters, etc.
Now is the perfect time to encourage the men in your life to take care of themselves. We recommend all boys and men to stay healthy by eating right, exercising, and seeking regular medical checkups to prevent disease and injury so they may live long and healthy lives.  Below are a few steps men can take to be healthier.

1.) Eat healthy
Add more fruits and vegetables into your diet and try to limit eating foods that are high in salt and fat.

2.) Exercise regularly
Make a personal goal to reach 2 ½ hours of physical activity per week.

3.) Quit tobacco
Tobacco smoking is the number one preventable cause of death in the U.S. and the primary cause of COPD and lung cancer.

4.) Make prevention a priority
Schedule yearly medical checkups and regular health screenings with our primary care experts.

Whether you want to lose weight, eat healthier, or need help to quit smoking, we’re here for you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
