American
Heart Month

February is American Heart Month.

We often associate the month of February with hearts because of Valentine’s Day. However, there’s another reason why we should think about hearts in February; it’s American Heart Month.  During February, we’re raising awareness about heart disease and cardiovascular health.

Today, heart disease is the # 1 cause of death for adults in the U.S.  It’s been reported that in the U.S. someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds and about 20.1 million adults ages 20 and older have coronary artery disease (CAD).
Remember, heart disease can often be prevented when people make healthy lifestyle choices and manage their health conditions.  At Terros Health, we recommend that all patients receive a heart health screening at least once a year.

Our Heart Health Screenings include a lifestyle assessment,
blood pressure checkup, blood work with lab services
and a follow-up appointment to review your results.
