A Life in Recovery at Terros Health – Maverick Living.
You can learn to live a life in recovery and Terros Health Maverick Living can help! Our program provides its residents a safe, supportive apartment-style living facility for men in recovery learning to live in sobriety. Your support comes from on-site counselors and other residents of Maverick Living helping each other learn everyday how to LIVE clean and sober, in your relationships, celebrations and disappointments, and in sharing living space.
A staff member is on-site or on call, and senior residents provide on-site supervision and monitoring. Residents are accountable to each other and appreciate a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to socialize with activities like fishing, having dinner together, going to meetings, and other ways of living healthy lives. You will learn basic skills like grocery-shopping and cooking, having a bank account, and how to build credit.
12 Step Meetings
At Terros Health – Maverick Living you can expect to find a caring team of mentors and community members. Our 12 step meetings are held seven days a week, attending our meetings is a program requirement. All 12 step meetings are open to the public.

Living Space
We provide a safe and secure drug-free environment focused on recovery and encouraging personal growth and development.
Each apartment has two (2) bedrooms (with 2 twin beds per room), one bathroom, living, kitchen, and dining areas. All apartments are furnished and include appliances, dishes, pots, pans, coffee makers, and toasters.
Graduated Progress
Maverick Living is a three-phase program.
All incoming residents will be designated as Phase I. Residents can be moved into Phase II once they have completed the initial observation stage and have shown they can be trusted with more responsibilities and freedom of movement. Phase III is designated for residents who have shown enough responsibility and commitment to recovery and are preparing to move on from a structured living setting and out on their own.
Employment Support
We assist and support with employment searches.
We provide help with resume preparation, filling out job applications online, and access to a computer to aid with the job search.
Social Services Support
We can help with accessing social services including food stamps, health care benefits, and other needs.
Our overarching goal is to help individuals enhance their skills and resolve problems to promote optimal health.
12 Step Meetings
We host multiple meetings supporting those in recovery.
Our meetings include Alcoholics Anonymous, Heroin Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, and Crystal Meth Anonymous. These meetings are open to the public.

Care Coordination
Terros Health offers counseling, primary medical care, family and children’s services.
All services are designed to assist you in achieving recovery and well-being. We can help get you connected to the care and support you need to be successful.

What can I expect at Maverick Living?
How much does Maverick Living cost?
Individuals pay $250 to move in, and $125/week to live in dorm-style shared living space with up to three other residents. Residents are randomly drug tested, are assisted in locating gainful employment and provided with case management.
What’s expected of me as a resident?
We require that all our residents are engaged with a 12 Step recovery program and actively working with a Sponsor or sponsoring other men. Prior to move-in, all residents must pass a drug-screen and be assessed by Terros Health staff.
There are three phases residents must pass through to graduate to independent living outside of the facility. In Phase I, individuals have a curfew of 5pm (unless their job schedule requires a pass) with onsite meetings required. Phase II includes a curfew of 10pm, and 12pm on Friday/Saturday, with outside meetings permitted. Phase III allows 48 hour passes before requiring a visual of the resident by staff or senior resident.
What are other residents and alumni of Maverick Living like?
Residents stay with Maverick Living because it is a stable environment, and it has its own self-perpetuating force; our alumni return as sponsors, attend meetings, and share the philosophy that “helping others helps oneself.”
Individuals sometime return to Maverick Living to be in a supportive home environment in order to prevent a relapse.
Do you accept individuals involved with justice, either with a sexual offense or other criminal charge or those currently on probation?
We do not discriminate based on your background or possible involvement with the justice community. We have a working relationship with the probation officer community and can help support you in meeting related requirements.
